There is one question that I am always asked: How long do you think the market for alpaca breeding stock will last?

After many years in the show ring both as an exhibitor and more recently as a judge, I have some observations on what it takes to win.

Everyone I know in the alpaca industry spends time thinking about how to market their alpacas.

Pure blood animal breeders around the world crave the ability to produce the best of their breed.

People visiting our ranch often ask me if I have a real job -- or what I did before I retired.

DANKO'S ROSA DE PATAGONIA is a beautiful grey female from industry-renowned  DANKO de la Patagonia (silver grey) and Hootalinqua 418 (medium fawn). After a successful show career, including a Reserve Champion at the 2002 North American as a juvenile and a First Place at the 2003 AOBA Nationals, Rosa was bred to multiple champion AABC NAVIGATOR a third generation grey who earned a blue ribbon in every show he entered because of his outstanding conformation, full coverage, wonderful presence, and fine, dense fleece. Rosa's first cria, SIENNA, was born on 9/23/04 and is a wonderful combination of these great genetics.
Rosa's second cria, PORTIA is a stunning true black female from her breeding to SIR NITRO (Blue Ribbon Winner), who is himself a true black herdsire with black and grey in his background and excellent fiber and confirmation. His first cria just took first at the 2005 NAAS.
Rosa gave birth in November to a beautiful true-black boy, Cicero. He is bound to do great things in the showring. With this result, we re-bred Rosa to our champion herdsire, PATAGONIA'S SHAKESPEARE with a cria due November 2007. The huge potential behind this combination of genetics ( Rosa, Patagonia's Danko, Patagonia's Shakespeare, El Italiano, and Hootalinqua) make this combination of rare gray bloodlines one of the most desirable and one of the most valuable. Rosa has been rebreed to Shakespeare and is due in November 08.

Rosa is sold with two free breedbacks to any of our herdsires and a 50% discount on future breedings.

In addition, we include in this package is Rosa’s 2006 cria, Cicero
